Temperature changes may also affect appearance or consistency — but that’s part of the beauty of an all-natural balm. Rest assured, the balm remains perfectly good to use, with all its natural nutrients intact.”

Why does my tallow balm have a crack on the surface?

Why is there some liquid oil sitting on top of my balm?

“Because we don’t use any fillers or stabilisers, each oil in our blend keeps its natural character — including its own melting point. Sometimes, especially in warmer weather, this can create tiny visible oil drops. No stress — it’s completely natural and perfectly okay."

What's my tallow product's expiry date?

"All of our products are made fresh in small batches, without synthetic stabilisers or preservatives. For the best experience, we recommend:

• Balms & Creams: 6 months after opening (though if stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, they can often remain good for up to 12 months).

• Soaps: Around 12 months. Over time, natural soap may lose some scent strength but will still lather and cleanse well.

• Lip Balms: Up to 12 months when stored correctly.

Because we only use natural ingredients, changes in texture, scent, or colour over time are normal. Rest assured, the nutrients remain intact as long as the product is stored properly."

Would my tallow balm smell like a cow?

"We only use 100% organic beef suet —the highest-quality fat found around the kidneys. We never use generic or external fats.

Our suet is slow-rendered with care, a traditional process that naturally filters out impurities. This results in clean, refined tallow with a very mild or neutral scent, perfect for gentle skincare."
