“I never set out to build a skincare brand — I just wanted something that actually worked.” - May

My life-partner, Ilya and I had had enough of skincare products full of fillers, synthetic fragrances, and alcohol. We were tired of water-based creams that felt nice for five seconds, then left our skin drier than before. He had tried everything for his skin condition to then completely run out of options.

And the ingredients? Most of them felt like a science experiment — hard to pronounce and even harder to trust. I’d spent years (and far too much money) trying “clean” products that promised results, but my skin never felt truly cared for.

So I started digging, learning and experimenting. And that’s when I found Tallow — and everything changed.

It all started with curiosity — and a kitchen full of experiments.

As a certified beauty therapist I dove deep into researching ancestral skincare remedies, and that’s when I stumbled across tallow. I started using tallow balm on myself, then on my family, my partner (with psoriasis) — and honestly, the results were nothing short of transformative.

Our skin changed. It felt healthier, calmer, and more resilient. Before long, we couldn't imagine life without it.
